Jewl’s is a 100% gluten-free breakfast/brunch/café with many different options. Phoenix doesn’t have as many gluten-free stops compared to some cities we’ve visited, but Jewl’s is dedicated-gluten free so it was so nice to be able to order anything on the menu.
We tried the two donut holes which were coated in cinnamon sugar. I will say, I’d prefer smaller donut holes – the ratio of dough to cinnamon sugar was a bit off and they were pretty bready. The dairy-free syrup, however, was delicious!!
We then split the Borracho Burrito which had ham, eggs, hashbrowns, avocado, chipotle aioli, and queso fresco. It was amazinggggg. I’ve really missed being able to eat burritos/enchiladas, so any time I can find a safe burrito option, I’m trying it! The potatoes weren’t the best, so I would say get fries as the side if you can!
After that, we decided to try the Vegan “Chickn” Waffles. Now, there regular waffles are buttermilk and are huge!!! They look amazing. After we ordered, we found out that their vegan waffles aren’t quite as big. The sandwich was really good, but it did need a sauce – maybe the chipotle aioli that is in the burrito!
