In search of a truly gluten-free dining experience, we ventured into De Nada Cantina, a Mexican restaurant that proudly boasts a menu entirely free of gluten. Despite learning that the food is prepared in a kitchen where gluten is present (offsite), the positive reviews on the Find Me Gluten-Free app gave us the confidence to give it a try.

To kick off our meal, we ordered the chips and salsas, and they were a fantastic introduction to the flavors that awaited us. The trio of salsas offered a delightful variety, with each one showcasing its own unique blend of spices and heat levels.

Trust me, it was as good as it looks!

For our main course, we indulged in a selection of tacos. I opted for the Barbacoa, Carnitas, and Camarones Pibil. Each taco provided a burst of flavor! The tender and flavorful carnitas taco stood out as a favorite, delivering the perfect balance of rich, juicy meat and seasonings. The Camarones Pibil, showcasing perfectly cooked shrimp and really delicious marinade, also left a lasting impression. Every taco was a testament to the culinary prowess of De Nada Cantina.

During our second visit, we had the pleasure of experiencing their breakfast tacos, as we arrived earlier in the day. Once again, the carnitas taco stole the show, reaffirming its status as a crowd-pleaser. The combination of tender, slow-cooked pork with the savory flavors of the breakfast fixings created a mouthwatering harmony. The Barbacoa and eggs con papas taco was also a delightful option, boasting tender barbacoa beef complemented by the comforting presence of eggs and potatoes.

Despite the fact that De Nada Cantina makes their food in a kitchen where gluten is present, we felt confident in the integrity of their gluten-free offerings. The care and attention given to creating an entirely gluten-free menu were evident in the flavors and quality of each dish we savored.
